While Williams and Storrie have been cozy during press for the show, neither have publicly confirmed their sexuality. Take a look through this collection of faces from film and television and see which actors you love are rumored to be gay.

Of course, when it comes to whether or not someone is gay, the truth is that it doesn't matter.

There’s a massive debate to be had about whether or not closeted gay actors should come out of the closet. One side says they should, in order to give a voice to everyone struggling to live as their own true selves. Art imitating life perhaps?

Here we have another celebrity that created speculation about his sexuality by being photographed at a gay bar – this time in West Hollywood – so of course many people saw this!

Scott hasn’t confirmed or denied if he is gay or not, but the rumors are still there for the former star of Entourage.

Finn Jones

Finn has not been pictured at gay bars or even said anything that would suggest that he is gay, but because of his performances in the massive series Game Of Thrones playing Loras Tyrell, people began questioning if Finn might be gay away from the small screen.

Perhaps this just goes to show how good of an actor Finn is – or maybe there’s something more to these rumors than we might think!

Jared Leto

Yes, the former Joker actor and music star Jared Leto has even been rumored to be gay – but there’s actually some credible evidence to this.

Alexis Arquette claims that she slept with Jared before she transitioned.

Whatever the reason for celebrity gay rumors, not all of them are true.

Even when they are more privileged, people also shouldn't come out if they're not ready.

"Ideally, we are working to create a world without boxes or closets to 'come out of' because we would never be expected to be anything other than who we say we are," Moe Ari Brown, a licensed marriage and family therapist, previously told USA TODAY.

The pair play a cat-and-mouse game of sexual tension, sneaking off to hotel rooms whenever they're in each other's orbit as years of hockey seasons go by. Why should his sex life be part of the conversation?

We kick off our list with one of the most well known people in Hollywood ever to be rumored as gay.

The star is probably best known from the movie Grease, but he has also been in some other huge roles.

Some of these include Pulp Fiction, The Punisher and Face Off.

But the actor has been very much in the spotlight for supposedly being in the closet.

In fact, South Park even did a parody of the actor being literally inside a closet and won’t come out. If this is true – the clown prince of crime might indeed be gay or bisexual. In Storrie's case, he's more concerned about who his character represents for people.

Fans had accused the star of "queerbaiting" – when a straight, cisgender person seems to cash in on LGBTQ+ fashion, music, acting roles and more. I'm bi. And even if they're comfortable privately, that doesn't make it tabloid fodder.

While people worry about a lack of authenticity in queer representation when out queer actors aren't in those roles, it's a more nuanced discussion than people like to admit.

That should not be controversial.
