Hedda
Hedda stars Tessa Thompson as a 1950s British socialite navigating a lavish party while confronting the return of her former lover Eileen (Nina Hoss).

Directed by Nia DaCosta and adapted from Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, the film offers a queer reimagining of the classic story. Fionn O’Shea stars as Owen, a gay novelist confined to a psychiatric facility meant to “cure” his sexuality. The other acceptable films raised this to a six. I hope the guys saved by Hansi Sturm, who was a real person, emulated his bravery.

My Dad Works the Night Shift? The two protagonists were perfect. The cast includes Edie Falco, Brian Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Parker Posey. I'm afraid that some very good films are going to be dragged down by the utter bilge that most of the films consisted of.
